This is a very lively bar with a spacious and stylish interior, making it a great place to hang out. There’s even a play area for kids, which is a nice touch. The place gets quite crowded on weekends, so it’s highly recommended to make a reservation. The food is fantastic—whether it’s the pasta or the burgers, everything was delicious!

On Saturday July the 13th, I celebrated my 54th birthday @ the Full Moon bar. My Mum & brother shouted me dinner. I have cerebral palsy & am in a wheelchair. It was easy for my brother to navigate our way to our table. Customers were obliging in that they made room for me when needed. The food was superb & the service was excellent & not pushy!I couldn’t stop looking at the view across the street. I’ve been to the Full Moon Hotel numerous times and each time it’s been an enjoyable experience. My family and I had lunch there on Sunday and it was faultless. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation but the polite host without any bother made our table available to us. The food and service from then on was top shelf. We were able to see the water from our table which made the experience even better!

Only went to the bistro for lunch. The food was delicious and they had one option for gluten free beer 🍺. Nice atmosphere and good service. The only downside I found is that they don’t have Coke for drink mixers only Pepsi :(

A massive thank you to all the staff working on the 13/06/2024. Friendly Gabby who was swift at the counter, Verona and Lucy at the cafe for keeping my mother-in-law happy with the excellent coffee making skills. The staff and service I cannot fault. You do not feel rushed, the food is hot, delicious and the price is reasonable. The views and ambience is beautiful. We sat in the kids area and the kids and adults loved it. Special thanks to Ivan and Aimee for being ever so welcoming. Today we celebrated my daughters 3rd birthday. Thank you for making it special Lucy.Keep up the great work.

we’ve always loved the Full Moon but having had overseas visitors over Christmas, we’ve sort of re-discovered it & we come here more often lately. What a Top-Spot.. what a Location… what views of the Bay & the Glass-House Mountains! This was not a hotel providing accommodation. The restaurant and the staff were excellent. The food was delicious and, of course, the beer was refreshing. My daughter and her husband took me there for my 70th, and I fully recommend the place. Bonus? The wonderful view from the verandah.

Discovered for the first time today and I think we’ll be making it a regular spot for sure! We stopped in for breakfast, which was delish! The kids area is super cute and right by a section of the seating area so as parents, we could sit and enjoy brunch with eyes on the little ones.The one downside is the size of their coffees. Their “large” feels like a standard cups size and I would’ve enjoyed a mug, especially at mug prices.Very excited to come back with friends for later seatings and try their lychee martini!

Got married in the Shorncliffe room yesterday. Never been married before and don’t plan to do it again so wanted to get it right the first time. The manager Jenny was an absolute legend. Everything was perfect and Jenny is an angel. Jenny should get a raise or a bonus. Everyone was so professional. We emailed back and forth with Christine too and she was so helpful and amazing so I reckon she’s due for a bonus or a raise too. Thanks team you’re all absolute legends. Also my mate says that the coffee was good. Also my other mate enjoyed his hot chocolate (thats a massive compliment coming from him tbh ). Thanks you legends. Hopefully won’t be back to get married again but if I was going to get married again(which I won’t) then I would be back for round 2. Thanks heaps you’re all amazing and should get a raise and keep up the hot chocolate making skills. By the way my friend is vegan and she thinks vegan food at weddings is trash but she loved the gnocchi (that’s a big compliment from her) so compliments to the chef he should get a bonus too what a hero.

First time to this awesome hotel for a lunch – again we had the pram congo line happening ( 4 x prams with babies under 8 months old – for those following along we are 4 work friends who happen to be on maternity leave at the same time :). We had reserved seating in the ‘kids area’ which was great to park said prams and have space at the table. Also not to bother other patrons on a rainy Monday afternoon.QR codes for ordering – which I prefer. Drinks and meals came out promptly with lovely staff. Good selection of meals. Change rooms for babies are in the accessible bathroom with the pull down ‘table’ FYI. Nice atmosphere with solo diners, couples, work colleagues working/lunching, friendship groups and families. Lots of choices to be seated as well from what I could see (outside, high chair / tables, inside near the play equipment and long high tables). There is parking on the street and out the back but for pram access you need to come around the front (FYI).Would I be back? You bet, unfortunately for me it is not my local but would happily come back here anytime, love the fact it is away from the busy intersection of Sandgate in general.

Unfortunately, this was our first time back since covid and boy when we first walked in the updated changes are so phenomenal. The decor was ok before, but now it looks awesome. Very coastal looking, plus the old sash style windows throughout is so reminiscent of Sandgate queenslander homes. The food was fantastic. My wife had the veal cutlets 👌 and I ordered the trout, both so delicious. The place was massively busy, but the staff did not look flustered, which is so pleasing to see. Thanks for a great time, and we’ll be back again.

Ordered the pork tacos and calamari. The tacos were well filled and soft and good serving. The calamari were fresh and soft and lightly crumbed. Had desert the pecan pie with ice cream was excellent moist, lovely soft caramel, vanilla ice cream was soft, creamy and soft. The coffee was hot and had a nice flavour. A nice view of the ocean from the restaurant.

We visited for a quick meal before a show at the entertainment centre a couple of months ago. Life gets busy so this review is late in being posted but I can say I still think about the amazing roasted barramundi fillet in a coconut cream curry sauce…. YUM! My partner had the Texas style brisket sandwich, which he also really enjoyed. As we were there for dinner, we couldn’t appreciate the views out the window but the venue has a great mix of tables and chairs for different types of visitors whether just there for a couple drinks and chit chat to both formal and informal table settings. Definitely will return when we’re back in the area

The full moon is a gorgeous venue perfect to relax and enjoy a drink or a meal. Love the terrace and there are great items on the menu to choose from. Lots of parking in the carpark and great location along the water. Definitely worth a visit when visiting Sandgate!

The Maitre d was super accomodating and he moved the chairs out of our way before we even arrived for our reservation. This is a huge help for wheelchair users as we don’t have to turn up and awkwardly move furniture around!

We recently had our wedding reception at The Full Moon Hotel. We had the room set up as cocktail style and we ordered a selection of platters to be served during the first part of the reception. The food was lovely and we had lots of guests give positive feedback about the quality and quantity of the food. The room looked beautiful and the view from the room is spectacular. All of the staff at The Full Moon Hotel are really lovely and we would like to give a special shout out to Christine, the Functions Manager, for making everything so easy for us and accomodating all of our requests and needs. This pub has some really high quality staff here. We’ve booked a couple big tables before, and I always feel bad because I understand how stressful it is. Always the best service. My partner and I used to come here for date night all the time before we moved away. We miss coming here, but were excited to come back for my 21st on Saturday!

Great pub food with lots of options for dietary challenges. Shout out to the service staff, especially Jess the manager on duty during our visit. Jess accommodated all our requests and went above and beyond on a meal that we forgot to order and it arrived very quickly from the kitchen. Good wine selection and prices are very reasonable.

Top spot with slightly older rooms that are very well kept. Pool is amazing and Matso’s is just across the street with killer food. Black Stump Gallery is right there too. We walked in and out of main shopping strip each day – close enough to walk to airport if you are keen (took us 18mins). Highly recommend! We didn’t get a sea view room – but they would be amazing!

Lovely venue nestled high on the hill overlooking Moreton Bay. Big glass windows with Bay views makes the place look open and spacious. First visit and place had a fresh welcolming feel..Dealt with staff in meals, gaming and bar all were friendly and helpful. Meals were delicious! Definitely will go back again.

The Full Moon Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible! I had the pleasure of ordering their medium rare sirloin steak, which was priced at a reasonable $39. To my surprise, the staff was more than happy to accommodate my request for chips and mash on the side, which was not standard on the menu.When my meal arrived, I was blown away by the presentation and taste of the food. The 300g steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and I couldn’t find a single fault with it. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the mashed potato was elegantly placed on the plate.Every bite of the steak was a heavenly experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal. The Full Moon Hotel has set the bar high when it comes to quality food and exceptional service.Overall, my dining experience at the Full Moon Hotel was nothing short of amazing, and I can’t wait to come back for more. It has been a while since I was in this part of town and we paid an impromptu visit to The Full Moon today for a drink after a long walk around the Sandgate district. I loved the renovations and fresh looks. The atmosphere was alive with solo artist playing guitar, busy but still relaxed and I enjoyed my fish of day chef’s special whilst my partner loved her seafood linguine.

TEXAS STYLE BRISKET SANDWICH TO – DIE – FOR!03.05.2022: Hubby and I had lunch today and we both ordered the Texas Style Brisket sandwich.The serving was enormous and it came with chips and onions rings too. The smoked beef was fall apart, melt in your mouth tender, best ever. The slaw was perfect and the little bit of heat in the sauce was spot on. Nicest lunch I have had for a very long time.Thank you, will definitely return for the same.

We had a family lunch at The Full Moon today and it was so good, 5 stars. It’s been a while since we were last here and we loved the renovations, looks great. The atmosphere was buzzing, busy but relaxed, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I must recommend the beef, bacon and mushroom pie, it was absolutely delicious. In all, very enjoyable experience.

I love going to the Full Moon. It’s always a bit busy, so it’s wise to make a booking (especially if it’s a larger party), but it is a great pub restaurant. The prices are good for what you get, and I’ve yet to be able to finish a plate, no matter how good my meal is. They have plenty of gluten free options, and as a coeliac, I’ve never had a contamination issue. If you like seafood, I’d recommend the prawns. They are 🥰

Super busy place for a Sunday lunch however got a table straight away. Parked on the street as the Carpark was full – no drama. Quick bar service and no line at the food order counter. Food took just over 25 minutes to arrive which was a bit long compared to other places we go however they were packed so figures. Live music playing which was nice and not too loud – so could still chat. The tables outside on the patio closest to the road seemed to have pleasant views of the ocean…. Will try to book next time. Also, plenty of staff around serving, clearing tables etc. We will be back at some stage.

My partner and I attended The Full Moon Hotel on a whim on a Wednesday night as we had never been there, and wow did it exceed expectations for something in the Sandgate area. We went there only for a quick drink but ended up staying for dinner because the food looked so good. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the staff were lovely and the food was fabulous. It was a very safe and friendly environment. The only thing that would make it perfect would be to have a me&u type code on the table so you can order straight from there rather than the bar. We will 110% be back! Highly recommended.

It was Epic. It’s been my local for ages, but haven’t been there in 18 months, so to see the new Reno style and the menu and the drink selection mage it even better. The flavours were delicious- you would have to visit the pub and order it for yourself as no amount of words could do it justice.
